Your Visit
Our Gallery is in Letchworth Garden City town centre, within easy walking distance from the train station and easily accessible if visiting us by car.
The Broadway Gallery is based in Letchworth Garden City. We support and develop a programme of exhibitions, events and educational activities that inspire our community. We are proud to be run by the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, a Community Benefit Society that reinvest the money made from its commercial portfolio back into the town.
The Garden City Arts Club is a space at the Broadway Gallery dedicated to supporting the creative community in our area. From this space we run community-led exhibitions with the aim of giving a platform to artists from our area to exhibit their work. It also doubles up a shared community space that regular welcomes local groups and the occasional remote worker. If you would be interested in exhibiting your work, please fill in our form via this link.
Our Family Art Studio is located on the top floor of the Broadway Gallery and plays host to a range of Family Arts workshops, afterschool clubs and art classes. The Studio is fully equipped with a range of art-making materials and can be used for free when we are not hosting a class. Family Arts has been made possible with funding from the Peter Sowerby Foundation.
Each year we host two residencies for artists, writers and curators to research and develop their practice. We aim to encourage and provide a platform for practitioners with a background in socially engaged practice to develop meaningful connections and collaborations with our community. Our selection process varies depending on each residency, but they are likely to be selected via Open Calls or Solicited Proposals. If you are interested in applying for a residency you can subscribe to our mailing list or following us on social media to hear of the opportunities.
