Start to build personal narrative in your work with this two-session workshop led by artist Talia Giles, to coincide with her exhibition at the Broadway Gallery.
Discover ways to bring narrative into your work in this workshop led by artist Talia Giles, whose current exhibition Memories Weigh Heavy is on view at the Broadway Gallery. Working initially from observation, we will use multiple view-points, as well as time elements as the foundation for our narrative. Through numerous exercises and recalling on memory and imagination along with some items we hold dear, our stories will start to unfold on the page, often in ways you least expect.
The course is across two sessions to give you time to develop your ideas in your own time, with the aim of working towards a final composition at the end of the second session. This will give you an entrypoint/toolkit to start creating your own, personal artist narrative.
Session 1: Thursday, 14 May, 18:30-21:30
Session 2: Thursday, 21 May, 18:30-21:30
Please note, this approach naturally taps into imagination and memory which can sometimes bring up difficult emotions.
Suitable for all levels.
Booking essential. Tickets: £30.00
